Meet The Team

Paul Boase

Paul has worked in estate agency for over 20 years.

First starting out as a trainee negotiator in a large corporate company, his skills where quickly recognised and after a very short period was promoted to Branch Manager.

Whilst this was success, Paul didn’t agree with the corporate ethos of how clients where treated.

He wanted to offer a more bespoke and tailored service to his clients.

Paul moved to Kernow Properties as Office Manager, he quickly made some fundamental changes to how the business was being run and increased the revenue substantially.

He enjoys an enviable reputation; he is always on call and happy for anyone to call his mobile with a question anytime.

After a short period working at Kernow’s, Paul was offered the opportunity to buy Kernow Properties, this he did and has with the aid of a dedicated team, grown the business to a prominent business in Camelford.

In Paul’s spare time, he enjoys music, playing Oboe in local orchestras around Devon and Cornwall.

Having trained as professional musician in the Army he enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge, Well known in the area for recitals and solo performances.

Paul is married to Beverley and have one daughter Jennifer.

Paul has a motto; “there is no such thing as a problem, just a challenge”

Dave McCarroll

Dave has been in estate agency for over fifteen years now having started with a corporate company in Callington where he first met Paul. After 5 years it was time for a change and Dave moved on to a smaller, more family-oriented company as a property manager dealing with large companies and individual buyers alike. After a while he was approached by Paul, who had just purchased Kernow Properties, to come and work as a property manager for him instead. Dave has now been with Kernow Properties for five years and has enjoyed advancing the company to the local number one agency.

In his spare time Dave has many hobbies which include oil painting, acting, directing, and writing for a local theatre company. Dave also enjoys doing voiceovers and has appeared in many international advertising campaigns. His favourite pastime though, is simply relaxing and playing guitar.

Dave has an empathetic approach to estate agency and understands that he is dealing with what is, for most people, the most important transaction of their life.

Mandy Rathbone

Mandy is relatively new to the team, having joined us in March as our Lettings Manager.

Her role includes finding tenants for rental properties, managing the process from viewing to handing over the keys and looking after the large amount of properties on our books.

For the last 10 years she had worked in the hospitality trade at a hotel and golf club as Restaurant Manager, with an excellent reputation for impeccable customer service with returning guests and groups year after year. Missing the ‘office life’ she jumped at the chance for a new challenge with us in an entirely different role from her previous employment and is thoroughly enjoying it!

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her partner and their young children and her grandchildren. Various hobbies include: camping, cinema, music, walking, trips to the beach and shopping with her 2 grown up daughters.

Millie

Hi I’m Millie, I work part time and come to the office and work when needed.

My main role is PR, I look after staff morale, and welcome people to the office.

I tend to stay in the top office as I need to keep out of the way for the guys to work.

Also, this is where my ball lives, if you want to say hi when you come to the office that’s fine.

Or I can stay out of the way.

My hobbies are, going for walks, (I love my walks) and seeing my friends in the park. I just love my ball, throw it for me and I will be your best friend for ever.

Please come and say hi if I’m in when you pop into the office.
